    dell is nothing more than a scam they do not help or give any "support" at all all they do is hang up on you make excuses I have had this issue with dell for well over a year trying to get help on various issues ( all covered by warranty I paid for) rather sad when I know more than these alledged trained techs who do nothing but waste your time many calls all you do is repeat yourself over and over again, sometimes you get stuck on mute for hours ( record is 11 hours of silence on mute) many just hang up on you there supervisors do exactly the same as does there escalations...     For thee most part i thought that most companies were pretty good about technical support. until i called dell. i spent more than an hour on the phone being bounced like a pingpog ball from one department to another, 17 times. i called because i needed to know if my computer was going to have drivers for the new windows 10 os. being a laptop i needed to make sure that my vostro 1520 would have drivers for the keyboard, touchpad, video card, etc. so call the manufacturer right, worst mistake ever, their job is to make it more convenient to buy a new computer than to upgrade your old one....     Wish Dell management and customer service will read. I ordered a Dell laptop on June 30 and received a Dell confirmation email "We have received your order". According to this email, I should receive a laptop on June 30. Dell didn't process my order. I called Dell customer service on June 30. They apologized for the mistake.     HORRIBLE customer service. Before buying customer service is super, thus one tends to believe that will be the same follow up. Technical support after you have purchased is SELF SERVICE and if you happen to travel a lot, you wont be able to pass from the first self service page since their system "rejects" your request on basis of not being on the same region where the purchase was made.     I bought a laptop dell inspiron at staples for $399. Not only did it not come with anything including antivirus and Microsoft word but by the time I walked out of there I spent $800 with a 2 yr warranty. After one year I had and virus and had to mail it t staples and "wait 14 days" by the way and when they mailed it back they said it was a hard drive issue and have to wipe out the computer and I lost everything!!!     I bought a tablet that was factory defected in Oct 2014. You requested my approval on getting it swapped in 4-6 weeks time. After 8 weeks of waiting, I have been advised that I can take my money back and they cannot deliver, and when I said ok you are requesting me to take only $137 not the full amount I paid 4 months ago.     I recently signed up for the Dell Advantage Loyalty Program prior to purchasing a computer. Under the program, the purchaser is supposed to be issued a promotion code worth 5% of the purchase price towards the purchase of new equipment (10% if you buy with Dell credit card). There's only one problem--Dell doesn't actually issue you the promotion code. I have contacted the company twice and have been told the promotion code will be sent "in 5 to 7 days."     Dell Tablet Venue 11 will not charge consistently. This problem arose after a few months of ownership. I sent the tablet in and Dell claimed to have fixed the charger port, however, it still will not charge.     i bought a dell inspirion 3520 laptop, well after 1year and 2 months (of course warranty is only a year) the laptop would not recognize hard drive , went and bought a new hard drive same message, well I called dell and low and behold it is most likely the mother board not recognizing hard drive, I paid about 350.00 for this piece of crap, to fix a mother board is more money than the computer!!     I filed a fraud case against my ex wife who openly admitted making purchases in my name via email.     I am a member of the Dell advantage Loyalty program, which says that the customer receives 5% Promo gift card on the purchases made under the program.     Bought first laptop crashed in a couple hours. Bought second same day. In one day from two different Best Buys. They both after turning off and later turning ultrabooks back on, they both would not reboot past the Dell logo. I even called Dell support and had to return product. Worst service wasted my 5 months and 11000 for this. I would rather ask a small time service person to fix my laptop than ask these group of frauds. Even the sales people are not good. Its been two months since I asked for availability of DVD ROM. They haven't responded. I registered my service for processor in January. Its been 5 months and my laptop is still a dead machine. Dell service is the worst computer services I have ever experienced. I had registered for service in January regarding my laptop. It has been 5 months and still they haven't fixed my problems. My laptop has been dead for more than a year now jut because dell people didn't give me services. I don't understand how these people judge the customers. Since January they made 5 visits. Everytime they used to send a motherboard and other components, still couldn't fix. Then they detected my DVD ROM problem and told me that someone had replaced me original Dell DVD ROM with another company's DVD ROM. So I called the sales department regarding new ROM. They said they will let me know and mind u this happened in early March. It's May now and I haven't yet got their response. Never mind the laptops but no one should buy Dell products because these people are worst in providing service. I have wasted my 11000. I want my money back and won't mind getting it fixed from some small time service shops rather than approaching these idiots. At least those people provide proper service

I wanted to process a return, I spent 2 hours on the phone and spoke to about 7 indivuals who kept transfering my call around. After almost 2 hours I was not able to talk to someone who could help me.
